Afterthe important victory of the first public bid in the wind power sector inTurkey, LEITWIND, a company belonging to the prestigious Italian group LEITNER,is confirmed as market leader in the unlicensed sector of 1.0 MW, obtaining thefirst and only two authorizations for the installation of wind turbines by thecontrolling body TEDAS, according to the new rules for unlicensedinstallations.
Thisnew goal confirms the great efficiency and speed of LEITWIND in obtaining thepermits for authorization and stresses the complete and timely support given toeach customer from the initial phase of the project up to implementation.
LEITWIND is characterized by the high quality of itswind turbines and numerous new projects, soon to obtain installation permits,show the appreciation of the selective Turkish market for LEITWIND’s technologyin the making.
Fighting offfierce international competition, Leitwind,the wind energy company of HTI Group,has won the first public contract for the provision of wind energy in Turkey. The project,which also includes a 2 year maintenance deal, has a fast turn-around time andis due to be completed within 18 months of the agreement. The contractis for the construction of a wind turbine model with an energy yield of 1.0MW,which will supply energy to public buildings in the Tokat Province, the project’s backer. This will bethe second LEITWIND LTW80 1.0MW wind turbine in the Tokat region.
For the HTIGroup, this commission represents an opportunity to reinforce the company’salready well-established presence in Turkey. Following thefoundation of Leitner Turkey in May2012, the branch responsible for the ropeways sector, the Group has now openedits second Turkish branch in Bursa,the Leitwind Turkey branch. This branchhas a strategic function; located in the western part of the country, Bursa isTurkey’s fourth largest city and has a population of approximately two millionresidents.
“Turkey is an important market forLeitwind,” explains managing director AntonSeeber, underlining that “this commission is confirmation of our strongcommitment to the country. In fact, we have recently won numerouscommissions in the ropeways sector, both for urban and winter sports ropewaysystems. Now we have our second wind turbine. Naturallythis allows us greater synergy between the Group’s various branches and mayalso have a very important effect on the Turkish market, for example in termsof the maintenance and management of the turbines.”
