DEWI: with a new brand stronger into 2017!

After being part of the UL family of companies for the last five years, DEWI is now changing its brand to UL DEWI. This change, together with the recent acquisition of AWS Truepower, now also part of the UL family of companies, demonstrates UL’s clear intention to further grow the portfolio of services.

UL DEWI will continue to provide its highly recognized quality services and technical expertise for wind & solar energy as part of a global renewable energy powerhouse. All customers of UL DEWI – manufacturers, suppliers, project developers, banks, investors and operators – will

continue to benefit from the same expertise and competence they have been relying on in the past to support their businesses. UL (Underwriters Laboratories) is a global provider of services to many industries and offering solutions for regulatory compliance, safety, research & development, as well as product & system financing. UL acquired DEWI in 2012.

UL DEWI & AWS Truepower

In September 2016 UL has acquired AWS Truepower, an Albany, NY-based company, that provides renewable energy services through five business units covering project advisory, performance engineering, due diligence, information services and grid solutions. Its service portfolio complements UL’s current renewable energy offering focused on testing, inspection, and certification as well as performance verification of solar, wind, batteries, and energy storage systems. AWS Truepower, a UL company, and UL DEWI will be working closely together, represented under both brands as a global business with a portfolio of wind and solar services. Both companies will continue their highly recognized quality services and technical expertise with a more diversified portfolio of renewable energy services and an increased global footprint.

New and Extend Services for Customer in Turkey

Due to the acquisition of AWS Truepower we can now offer to our customer in Turkey an extended service portfolio for the entire life cycle of a wind and solar farm. These are due diligence services as well as wind resource assessments for large areas, short term wind forecasting, mesoscale modelling, wind map/atlas and much more. In addition we offer a range of software products to support the development, assessment, and operation of renewable energy projects. These products leverage our knowledge and expertise to help enable customers to do its work more productively, effectively and the option to work more independently.
