Wind turbine blade specialists We4Ce and ADIOS Technology, both based in Enschede, the Netherlands, have combined their commercial operations under a single brand, eProWind, to offer complete rotor blade lifecycle management through one partner.
By bringing together We4Ce’s rotor blade engineering expertise and ADIOS Technology’s de-icing capabilities, eProWind becomes a single partner for complete blade lifecycle management, from structural design to on-site blade repairs and maintenance. Debuting ahead of WindEnergy Hamburg, 22–25 September 2026, eProWind offers turbine manufacturers, asset owners and wind farm operators one direct contact to extend blade life and cut maintenance downtime.
Operating as the front-facing organisation for both companies, eProWind serves as the central commercial platform for rotor blade lifecycle support, from initial structural engineering, annual yield increase and lifetime extension to damage assessment, on-site blade root repairs and de-icing management. While eProWind leads all client-facing operations, each company’s core, field-proven technologies will maintain their recognised market names within the portfolio.
Re-FIT and ADIOS keep their names
Re-FIT continues as the patented technology that replaces loose blade root bushings directly on-site, eliminating the costs and downtime of transporting entire blades. ADIOS remains the primary technology name for the company’s ultra-thin electrothermal heating system, integrated directly into blade surfaces to prevent and remove ice build-up during freezing operational conditions.
“Operating through eProWind as the main commercial contact is a key step in We4Ce’s international growth,” said Sebastiaan Weij, Chief Commercial Officer of eProWind. “Our customers already rely on our engineering, blade root repairs and de-icing capabilities. Unifying these under the eProWind platform makes it easier for asset owners worldwide to deploy our full range of lifetime extension solutions through a single, streamlined partnership.”

Leadership handover
The transition to eProWind coincides with a planned leadership handover at We4Ce. “Building We4Ce from a specialised rotor blade engineering team into an international technology partner over the past two decades has been immensely rewarding,” said Arnold Timmer, Advisory Board Member of eProWind and founding CEO of We4Ce. “Today, combining our deep engineering roots with field-proven technologies like ADIOS positions the business for its next chapter of growth. I look forward to supporting eProWind’s strategic direction in my new advisory role.”
Bart Nijhuis assumes the role of CEO of eProWind, while Edo Kuipers remains technical lead for We4Ce. Together, We4Ce and ADIOS Technology bring more than 50 years of combined rotor blade and heating technology experience to the industry.
Headquartered in Enschede, We4Ce has more than 25 years’ experience in rotor blade design, M20–M42 blade root bushing technology and sectional exchangeable blade tips. In the aftersales sector, it performs root cause analyses (RCA) of blade failures and provides a licensing model for the Re-FIT blade root bushing re-manufacturing method. ADIOS Technology specialises in electrothermal de-icing solutions for rotor blades; ADIOS stands for Anti & De-Icing Operating System.
